QES – phoenix arises

[4 Aug 2012] The Queen’s English Society has been given the kiss of life after publicity about its imminent demise sparked renewed interest among members.

The society, dedicated to upholding what it sees as accepted norms of grammar and good speech, announced its revival in what was originally billed as the final edition of its ever-interesting newsletter, Quest, which reports that several people have volunteered to join the committee.
