Steps to accreditation
Briefly, this is how the process works...
- Email your draft document to us in Word (preferably) or PDF, or post or fax it. If you haven't used the scheme before, please also complete the online application form.
- We'll return the draft with detailed editing suggestions, usually using 'track changes' if it's a Word document. We aim to return these initial edits in 3-5 working days. If you need them sooner, please tell us.
- You include the suggestions you can accept and send us a new print-ready draft. We'll offer any further suggestions, usually within 2 days.
- Assuming the document now meets the criteria, we'll award the Clear English Standard. We'll email you the logo, provide an accreditation number (your licence to use the mark on that edition of the document) and, on request, a certificate in PDF.
